〈星落秋風五丈原〉是日本近代詩人土井晚翠以《三國演義》靈魂人物諸葛亮（181-234）為歌詠對象而寫就的詩篇。
本論文所採取的研究方法將朝著淵源研究及對比研究兩個方向來進行。有關前者，重心放在探究〈星落秋風五丈原〉誕生的背景，例如中國古籍，或是晚翠時代的時空條件對此作品的誕生發揮的影響。
至於對比研究，則以同樣描繪英雄的晚翠的其他作品作為比較對象，例如，同為《天地有情》中之詩作，描繪拿破崙事蹟的〈馬前の夢〉以及荷馬史詩《伊里亞特》、《奧德塞》等，藉由比較來探究晚翠的一貫思想，並且進一步，探究中、日、西方的寫作特質各自對〈星落秋風五丈原〉發揮的影響力，由此找出〈星落秋風五丈原〉的獨特之處。
