Bilingual Companions For English Learning

In line with the 2030 Bilingual Nation Policy and the Development of National Languages Act,
we are looking for bilingual teaching partners to create a bilingual digital learning environment for elementary and middle school students in Taiwan through online teaching. Our goal is to enhance students' interest in learning and broaden their global perspectives.❣️

Cultivate English proficiency in Taiwanese students
Guide Taiwanese students to expand their global horizons and care about SDGs issues
Develop bilingual digital talents using both language skills and digital technology
Explore and establish high-quality bilingual digital courses
Promote industry-academia collaboration to foster bilingual digital teaching capabilities

Course for the 113-1 Semester 💡

📅 Dates: 10-week course from September 23 to December 12, 2024
⏰ Time: Monday and/or Thursday 16:00-17:50
*You may choose to serve on one day; the schedule cannot be adjusted.
*Exact class times will be arranged based on the matched elementary or middle schools.

University Buddies 💡 (Online English Teachers)

🖊️ Eligibility:

Current students or alumni of our university, from any department
English proficiency must reach CEFR B1 level

📃 Job Responsibilities:

Teach multicultural topics to Taiwanese elementary and middle school students online in a bilingual setting (primarily in English with supplementary Chinese)
Prepare teaching materials and lessons (general lesson plans/materials provided, but content should be adjusted/modified based on students' needs)
Write teaching logs
Upload lesson plans and materials
Attend required and optional training sessions

💰 Compensation:

$800 NTD per class (90 minutes each)
Eligible to apply for self-directed learning credits in the College of Foreign Languages
A certificate of participation will be awarded upon completion of the 10-week course
