🎉Congratulations! College of Foreign Languages iLink-B Project: "AI in Progress" Wins Second Place and Honorable Mention in Cross-Disciplinary Capstone Project Competition!

The Northern Regional Center Cross-Disciplinary Capstone Project Competition (Phase I) was held on May 25, 2024, at Shih Chien University. Centered on the theme "Integrating Generative AI and Creative Thinking Tools into Small-Scale Cross-Disciplinary Entrepreneurship," the College of Foreign Languages iLink-B Project: "AI in Progress" sent two teams to compete, ultimately securing Second Place and an Honorable Mention. 🏆

This competition aligns with the goals of the Ministry of Education's  "Linkage Program for Humanistic and Social Science Disciplines with Industry Practice (iLink)." It aims to cultivate students in the humanities and social sciences who can actively analyze issues, collaborate across professional backgrounds through creative thinking, and utilize technology and business models to solve complex real-world problems.

The first team, "Wrdtoo," developed an AI-driven brand consultancy focused on smart translation. By integrating ChatGPT technology, the team simulated a consultancy that creates multi-language friendly environments for businesses to attract international clientele. They utilized Generative AI to enhance translation efficiency while implementing a dual-review process to correct common AI errors, ensuring professional quality. From a business perspective, the team developed customer relationship management strategies and identified key resources to ensure profitability. This project allowed students to enhance their technical expertise while growing in the field of professional business communication.

The team focused on two areas: product development (lunchboxes) and marketing. They utilized SWOT analysis to identify business strengths and weaknesses, creating opportunities for value enhancement. Notably, the team used AI tools to calculate the carbon footprint of their meals, developing new low-carbon lunchboxes to reduce emissions through sustainable eating habits and promote global environmental awareness.
