跨領域法語教學策略-以政經領域課程之輔助閱讀訓練爲例 Teaching Strategy for Interdisciplinary Professional French: The Case of Supplementary Reading Training Activity in political-economic Course

法文系之基本教學任務以培養學生一般法語聽說讀寫能力爲主,語言爲構成學生基本智識能力之重要環節,法文系學生應能夠閱讀解析諸多不同領域之法文文本,作爲語言能力之重要構成元素。輔仁大學法文系開設「法國政經新聞導讀」乙課,該課程之主要目標在於使法文系學生具備政經領域之專業語言能力,一方面透過正規課程解說法國第五共和之政治體制,建立學生之專業領域知識,另一方面以媒體新聞閱讀翻譯作爲輔助教學活動,強化學生之專業法語閱讀能力,同時認識法國當代社會之重要政治經濟社會現象,透過多樣化之素材來源以及題材選擇,逐步引導學生閱讀各式各樣不同之文本寫作方式與風格,並由翻譯作業檢視其理解程度。本文從「特定目標法語」角度,詳細研究學生翻譯作業中所呈現之困難點,除了各類語言性質之障礙,也包括缺乏專業知識或專業領域法文所導致的理解錯誤。傳統「特定目標法語」系針對非語言專長之專業人士進行法語培育,但事實上法語教學單位也必須針對語言專長之學員設計「特定目標法語」課程,讓語言專科領域之學生能夠拓展其學習範疇,將法文與其他專業領域知識相結合,擴展法語的應用面及實用性。

Synopsis

The education task of a Department of French usually consists of basic language training, however, language ability is considered to be a fundamental and major intellectual capacity of a student, and students of Department of French should be capable of reading French texts from a great variety of discipline, which is a basic competence of language-major students. The Department of French of Fu Jen Catholic University provides a course named 'French political and economic news reading'. The objective of this course is to equip students with professional language competence in political field. Professional political knowledge concerning the fifth Republic in France is instructed through ordinary program, whereas news reading and translating work is introduced as supplementary teaching activity, their professional reading capacity is enhanced, they can also observe important political and social events in modern French society. With articles of various subjects from different media, students are trained to read texts of different styles, and their comprehension is evaluated by their translation work. From the perspective of ”French for specific purposes”, this article put these translation works through analysis in order to discover difficulty of comprehension, including linguistic related difficulties and those dues to lack of professional knowledge or professional French. Conventional ”French for specific purposes” aims at French training for learners from others professions or disciplines, but as a matter of fact, French teaching unit should also design special ”French for specific purposes” for students major in French, so that students specialized in language could enlarge their learning scope, their French major would be combined with other professional knowledge, and at the end application as well as usability of French would be largely enhanced.
