隨著中國經濟社會的不斷發展與世界地位的增強，漢學與中國學相關研究日益受到重視，相關學科得以發展的背後原因包括全球化時代下中國崛起以及相關戰略需要的有力推動。中國大陸大學英語專業建設方向與人才培養等相關問題長期以來受到專家學者的熱議。結合目前海外漢學、中國學方興未艾的學科發展態勢，從國家文化對外推廣及相應人才培養的角度來看，英語專業的學科建設與人才培養有必要借鑒漢學、中國學的相關成果，形成一個中國立場、全球視野的專業發展取向，相應在課程設置、師資安排、研究方向與學生去向等方面有所體現。
With the consistent development of China's economy and society, Sinology and Chinese Studies receive more and more attention from all over the world. The development direction and students cultivation of English departments in Chinese universities have been heatedly discussed and scholars agree that reform should be advocated to adapt the faculty into new demands in today's context. This paper, inspired by the development of Sinology and Chinese Studies, argues that English department can benefit from building up teaching and research in the field of Sinology and Chinese Studies, which also meet the strategic demand of China's national image promotion with the growing comprehensive strength. Some concrete suggestions on possible curriculum, faculty, research and students cultivation are also given.
